INTRODUCTION/ REGISTRATION AT THE PALACE:
The Ife Ooye Elegant Ladies in starting our activities went on a courtesy visit to our Royal Father, His Imperial Majesty, Ooni Enitan Adeyeye Babatunde OGUNWUSI, the head of all other kings (Royal Majesties/ Highnesses) in our community.
On that day, Kabiyesi was presented a letter of request for recognition/ registration in the Palace. Kabiyesi promised to give the association a piece of land as requested in any area of choice whenever it is ready for the project. He thereafter invited the association to the Commissioning of Moremi Statue on 26/11/16.

PREAMBLE:
Your imperial Majesty, we your daughters here present on behalf of all Ife Ooye Elegant Women – from the Diaspora and home, feel highly honoured and humbled that we’re given the opportunity to make our presentation today despite your tight schedules. Kabiyesi, thank you so much sir. You’re our caring father indeed! Orin: Baba o o, Baba o, baba o, Oluwa da baba si fun wa. Baba o, Baba o, Baba o, Oluwa da baba si fun wa.
SPEECH:
As we all know that our dear home town “ILE-IFE” has been the head of all towns in the entire Yoruba land, right from inception, which has portrayed a good identity of us both within and diaspora. We are proud of this and ready to making it stand firm as the “IFE OOYE, OLORI AYE”.
To crown this, we now have a king who since installation, has been a Father, Brother, Friend and showing Love to everyone, who also deems it fit and ready to continuing building and shaping the growth of Ile-Ife to the satisfaction and admiration of all. We are particularly dazed and dazzled with the development of Ile-Ife and its environment , as well as the promotion of peace and unity in the entire Yoruba land in less than a year on the throne of your forebears, Kabiyesi.
Sequel to these aforementioned; We, the IFE OOYE ELEGANT WOMEN have come to appreciate Your Imperial Majesty and with due respect, express our unflinching support and tender our noble allegiance and cordial pledges to our dear King.
“IFE-OOYE ELEGANT WOMEN ASSOCIATION” is an N.G.O. established by the bonafide women of Ile-Ife living within and outside the country. Our Mission is to show authentic and undiluted “Care to the Elderly Ones” and some sorts of Humanitarian Services as required. We pray the zeal and motive that has spurred us to doing this will never quench and our good Lord will continue to helping us.
In lieu of Rulership, Dictatorship, Our King, Kabiyesi, Ooni Adeyeye Ogunwusi Ojaja II has shown us love, belongingness and utmost services to human race which has been making us standout amongst our equals and also maintain our usual status quo. In respect to these, We, the Ife-Ooye Elegant Women, on behalf of every of our members and indigenes of Ile-Ife at large are here to present an “AWARD” to our King and father, to demonstrate our own minimum way of showing appreciation for the Meritorious Works, Humanitarian Services and undiluted Love that He has been showing to the people of Ile-Ife and the Yorubas at Large.
Also, we want to use this medium to request for our King’s Support towards our Association, particularly for our motive to Building a Care Home for the Elderly ones who are indeed in need of Care and Help, talking about the Land, Building and other Resources; which is to be situated in our home town in a recognizable, convenient and secured location. We will highly appreciate your kind contributions and gestures towards this Sir.
